Donations of books and materials will accompany the funds
Northampton, MA—Independent educational publisher Pioneer Valley Books will support teachers in attaining Reading Recovery® certification this year. Reading Recovery, an established teaching method that helps children struggling to learn to read, is the foundation for the successful publisher’s products. The donation comes as the Reading Recovery Council of North America (RRCNA) celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Michele Dufresne, founder of Pioneer Valley Books and a Reading Recovery trained educator, announced the donation at the RRCNA Annual Conference in Columbus, OH, during the keynote address. She called upon other publishers to partner with Pioneer Valley Books to provide additional scholarships and resources.
