LEVEL H BOOKS usually have a variety of themes – informational, fantasy, realistic fiction, and folk tales. The stories may have settings that are unfamiliar to your child. The sentences in the stories will be longer (more than ten words) but the vocabulary should be familiar. The illustrations may not completely show everything happening in the story. There will be a mix of simple and more complex words. The plots and characters can start to be more elaborate from earlier level books. The illustrations will be more complex and depict multiple ideas.
